Herne Bay United would like to counter the rumours and state they are far from bankruptcy and are happy to announce they have reached a number of agreements for the coming season with numerous sponsors for the 2010/2011 Season.

Kings Caterers of Herne Bay will become the main sponsor for our National Champion Team currently known as HBU 1 who will become known as Kings HBU for the next two seasons. The senior squad will also now be sponsored by equipment manufacturer TVD and the new line of equipment available will be online soon and can be purchased through Carlos Amaral. The first team will continue with other current sponsors Capital and County, with printing provided by Heron Workwear. HBU are still looking to fill one remaining space with a company willing to pledge their support.

Our youth Sponsors have also undergone some change for next season with All Tyres of Whitstable taking over from Kent Connections and Animal House Veterinary Service replacing the Rotary Club's place. We can confirm that contracts have been renewed with Everlast Fencing and J and K Metals Ltd and we look forward to the 2010/2011 season thanks to their support. HBU are still in discussions with a number of other prospects.

National Cup Finals: Herne Bay United 3-6 Middlesbrough

Preliminary Solo Dance Test
Congratulations to Sophie Stannard who passed her Preliminary Solo Dance Test at Herne Bay High School on Sunday 31 January. Romford YMCA Artistic Competition
Six skaters travelled to Haywards Heath on Saturday 5 December to compete in the Romford YMCA competition. It was dissappointing not to have any of the younger skaters in the finals of their events as they had all skated well but they enjoyed the competition. Moonrakers Artistic Competition
Six skaters travelled to Newbury on Sunday 17 May to compete in the Moonrakers competition. Although the team only won one bronze medal, all skated well and it was an entertaining competition. Medal Tests
Congratulations to both Krystyna Wale and Bethany Wale who both passed their Bronze Solo Dance Medal Test on Saturday 21 March at the Pier Pavilion, Herne Bay. They both skated a very strong test, with good compliments from the judges.
